The Excel Languages Center (LC) is a core resource for students in the Department of Languages and Cultures. It offers access to electronic media and materials that complement courses and textbooks, and offers drop-in tutoring and support in American Sign Language (ASL), Spanish, French, German, Japanese and Chinese. There expanded role of the center provides a valuable support for students of Anthropology, Economics, Geography and Psychology. Tutors are available  for these areas, as well.

Excel Languages Center

The LC offers support to all the languages taught at UCCS: American Sign Language (ASL), Arabic, Chinese, French, German, Japanese and Spanish. Tutors are available for all of these languages except Arabic [as enrollment increases for this language a tutor position will become available]. On the Excel Languages Center website one can find times the center is opened, the hours that tutors work, times for conversation tables, links to resources promoting language learning, links to study abroad information, and a resource library page, searchable for which DVDs or VHS materials the center houses.
