Biographical Information

Mary France holds an MA in Classics with a concentration in the Greek language and a BA in Classics (language focus) and English from CU-Boulder. Two PhD-level Greek courses were completed during the MA quest, and she has taken post-graduate courses for Latin literature at Colorado College. She has taught at UCCS for 14 years as an adjunct lecturer. Courses taught at UCCS include: Classical and Koine Greek, Greek literature, and Latin courses spanning Classical through Neo with a new co-taught course with the History Dept. She also has created courses in translation to increase interest in the classical languages. Mary has made a dozen trips to Greece and has many friends and connections to a land and a people close to her heart.
