About

Birgitta T. Day (she/her) is a lecturer of German in the Department of Languages and Cultures.

She is a native German speaker with an international background.

She was born in Siebenbürgen (Romania), studied in München, Hildesheim, Göttingen (Germany) and Dallas (Texas), tutored German and Spanish in Dallas (Texas) and Colorado Springs (Colorado) and taught grades 1-12 and college in Colorado Springs (Colorado).

She is a member of the Delta Phi Alpha (ΔΦΑ) National German Honor Society, chapter Sigma Tau (ΣΤ) as well as the American Association of Teachers of German (AATG). 

She has varied interests and qualifications and is looking forward to guiding, motivating and inspiring her students on their language adventures.
