Birgitta Day
About
Birgitta Day is a German native who was born in Siebenbürgen (Transylvania). She attended a German humanist high school in the mentioned German part of Romania. In Germany, she started her university studies in Göttingen and earned her university degree in Hildesheim. In München, she continued her studies in languages and education, studied in a program towards a PhD in Comparitative Religious Studies, and was a member of the Bayerischer Journalistenverband. In the USA, she taught German and Spanish as a private tutor, as well as a part-time and full-time teacher for K-12. At UCCS, her teaching engagement as a lecturer started in spring 2020. Some of her interest and hobbies are intercultural communication, information, education, clarity in speach and information, travelling, music, dance, film, art, health, and peace. Fresh air, healthy environment, rich nature, caring people, rocketing possibilities for outdoor sports, and her family motivated her to choose a home in Colorado.
